Accountability in Elections
Voting equity is important. It allows for more voices to be heard, and to participate in local politics. Two important things must happen to achieve voting equity: 1) Reducing the campaign contribution limit, and 2) Changing San Leandro’s election process to conform to the California Voting Rights Act.
Housing stability in San Leandro must be a priority. Eight of our twelve schools are Title I schools. Seventy percent of our SLUSD families are low-income families. We see the homeless and unhoused population in the streets of the Marina and throughout the city but did you know that we have over a dozen unhoused families attending our schools?

Public Safety
Public Safety can mean a lot of things. To me public safety means better lighting for our streets, better traffic conditions for our schools, stronger community protection through Neighborhood Watches & supporting programs, and having a police force that we can trust.
