Transparency and Accountability

What drew me into local politics was the denial of justice towards the family of Steven Taylor. As the case enters its fourth year there still hasn't been a resolution to the family's case against the officer who killed Steven rather than deploy non-lethal options. Then what happened at Bancroft Middle School where a teacher was threatening students? The situation was mishandled for months until a video was released. The principal at the school was held accountable after that but it never should have gotten to that point. Then we had our first Black police chief put on administrative leave without any reason given. After almost half a year he was let go with no fault. This is a major red flag. If there was an issue with people we are supposed to entrust with our safety then we deserve answers. If there is an issue then we should be informed promptly. If there is an action that must be taken then we must hold parties accountable.
